This page is used primarily to provide information about the graduate research scholarships offered as part of the University's Melbourne Scholarships Program (MSP).

Gowrie Trust Fund Research Scholarships 2010

Applications are now open for the 2010 Gowrie Trust Fund Research Scholarships. In accordance with the Trust Deed, these scholarships (valued at $4,000 per annum for a period of up to 2 years) will be awarded to members of the Forces, children, grandchildren or other lineal descendants of members of the Forces.

Applications should be submitted to the Melbourne Scholarships Office by close of business 30 October, with a duplicate copy being submitted to the Trust directly. Please see the Information Sheet for eligibility, including definitions. Unless specified on the Information Sheet, the University of Melbourne will apply the same eligibility criteria to our assessment and ranking of Gowrie Applicants as we do to the Graduate Research Scholarships offered as part of the Melbourne Scholarships Program.

Eric and John Smyth Travelling Scholarship

The Melbourne Graduate School of Education invites applications for a scholarship to support young graduates to further the contribution to their profession through study or research overseas.

The value of this scholarship is unspecified (total may vary). This award is to be used for travel. This scholarship is paid annually for the period of 1 year.

This scholarship is for study in countries except Australia. You must be below the age of 30. Only citizens of Australia may apply. You must have studied at or be currently studying at The University of Melbourne.

Selection criteria and application details can be viewed here. Candidates must meet all criteria to be awarded the scholarship. Terms and conditions are subject to change. Always confirm details with scholarship provider before applying. Eligible applicants should contact  education-smyth@unimelb.edu.au for details on how to make an application for this scholarship.

Frank Knox Memorial Fellowship

The Melbourne Scholarships Office is currently accepting applications for the Frank Knox Memorial Fellowship. The Knox Fellowship is available for Australian citizens who wish to undertake graduate study at Harvard University for the 2010-2011 academic year.
