How to apply
International students are automatically considered for all of the scholarships listed below once they receive an unconditional course offer for an eligible course. Applicants must apply for admission on the Application for Admission as an International Graduate Student form or using the online application available at http://www.futurestudents.unimelb.edu.au/grad/research/application.
There is no separate scholarship application form.
- Endeavour International Postgraduate Research Scholarships (IPRS)
- Melbourne International Fee Remission Scholarships (MIFRS)
- Melbourne International Research Scholarships (MIRS)
- Human Rights Scholarships (HRS)
The only exceptions are:
- applicants for the Human Rights Scholarship must also complete the 2010 International HRS Application Form (PDF: 50kb);
- students who are already enrolled in the course for which they seek a scholarship must apply using SCHOLS, the online application service. In exceptional circumstances, a Graduate Research Scholarship Application form may be obtained from the Melbourne Scholarships Office. It must be submitted with the required documents, including Referee Reports, by the closing date.
- the MSO travelling scholarships (please check the details for the travelling scholarships as each has its own application procedure and closing date.)
Application closing dates
We strongly recommend that all applicants submit their application and all required documents well before the closing dates listed below.
Applicants who are seeking a scholarship to support their enrolment in a graduate research degree course should apply well before 31 August.
We are unable to consider late or incomplete applications for scholarship.

| MIRS | Applications received after 31 October will only be considered for any MIFRSs and MIRSs that remain in the relevant faculties’ allocation at the time the application is assessed. In order to be considered for the greatest range and number of scholarships, it is highly recommended that you submit your application by the IPRS closing date of 31 August. |
