Lunchtime Walking Groups
Join a lunchtime walking group and walk in small groups with staff members from a range of departments or centres.
Regular walking aids cardio vascular health, bone density, better sleep, weight loss, stress and mood management. A regular walking group puts you in touch with people who can help you stay committed to caring for your health. Besides it's relaxing and fun!
Don't forget to wear a hat, sunscreen and comfortable walking shoes, and also carry a water bottle.
Try it and join us regularly, OR try it and then start your own group with colleagues and friends from your department or centre, or university based friends. Either way, make a start soon.
Three options are available:
1. Tuesdays 1 to 2PM. Meet outside the Swimming pool and walk north along Royal Pde and around Princes Park
2. Thursdays 1 to 2PM. Meet outside Gate H on Grattan St. and walk east to the Carlton Gardens, and Exhibition Gardens.
3. Friday's 1 to 2PM. Meet outside the Law building Coffee Shop on Pelham St. and walk south to the Victoria Market, shop for 20 minutes, and then return.
